How BlockFlea measures builder activity.

BlockFlea tracks public onchain signals that can help show where builders are deploying, updating, and testing applications across supported ecosystems.

What We Measure

Builder activity is not one perfect number. We combine several practical signals so the charts can show direction, momentum, and quality over time.

Contracts DeployedNew contracts or programs created on a chain during a measured period.
Active DeployersUnique addresses or signers responsible for deployment activity.
Deployment TransactionsTransactions that produced deployments or program deploy or upgrade events.
Active New ContractsRecently deployed contracts that later received activity, which helps separate launches from contracts that remain unused.
7D RetentionThe share of newly deployed contracts that still show activity after seven days.
Token LaunchesERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155, or comparable token and asset launch signals where available.
Proxy Upgrade EventsUpgrade-related events that can show production applications changing after initial deployment.
Why It Matters

Deployments and upgrades can reveal where builders are experimenting, shipping, and maintaining apps before that activity becomes obvious in market data.

What It Is Not

These metrics do not prove app quality, team identity, revenue, safety, or investment value by themselves.

Why Numbers Can Differ

Explorers, indexers, and analytics providers may classify contract creations, deployers, transactions, and program activity differently.

Data Sources

BlockFlea uses publicly available onchain data, blockchain indexing datasets, explorer data, and third-party data providers to estimate builder activity across supported ecosystems.

Some chain activity datasets are powered by Dune query results and public blockchain tables. Metrics may be delayed, incomplete, or revised as source data, query logic, and indexing coverage improve.

Treat BlockFlea as a builder signal layer. It is meant to help with discovery and comparison, not replace official chain explorers, protocol disclosures, audits, or your own research.

Supported Chains

BlockFlea currently focuses on chains where the available data can support useful builder activity views. Some chains may have richer metrics than others because every ecosystem exposes developer activity differently.
